Market Access Updates - China

The China Pet Food Protocol and the updated consumer-ready pet food Certificate CN210 have been agreed. The China OMAR has been published here https://www.mpi.govt.nz/dmsdocument/71700-2606-China-OMAR-Part-10-Pet-Food (OMAR password protected).
Therefore, MPI are now signing certs for avian pet foods that meet the processing requirements described in the OMAR.
As with any substantive change to requirements, there will be nervousness about the receipt of the first consignments. There is a risk that authorities at individual ports will not have understood the change.
MPI is ready to assist with any difficulties if they arise.
