MPI Trade Certification Programme
MPI has been progressing a programme to replace the multiple certification systems currently in use (including some paper based systems) with a single, modern, integrated digital platform. This initiative aims to streamline operations, improve efficiency and provide a more consistent experience across the sector.
Wine products and some organic products have already moved to the new system. The E-Phyto system is expected to transition in February, followed by the AP-cert system in April.
The Future of Certification Programme team is engaging with the Petfood sector to outline the new system and transition timelines. A webinar was held on Tuesday 29 July with an excellent turnout of over 80 participants, the strongest of any industry sector so far.
Additional meetings will be scheduled closer to the transition dates, providing more detailed information, training, and guidance on how to prepare.
This topic is also likely to feature at the upcoming conference.
The webinar slides have been circulated and are available on the website [here].
